CWS symposia are yearly, multi-day events in which we invite interdisciplinary scholars to campus to share their research. During symposia, guests typically give research talks, facilitate workshops, and interact with CWS graduate students and faculty in a collegial, supportive environment.
In the past, CWS has held colloquia events every semester. In this programming, the Center invited individual, outside scholars to campus to offer lectures. We transitioned our colloquia programming to symposia in the fall of 2016 when we hosted our inaugural symposium.
University of Illinois students, staff, and faculty can navigate our CWS Mediaspace page to view audio/video recordings of past symposia and colloquia events. In addition, below are links to some of our recent symposia events.
