In addition to courses required for the graduate concentration in writing studies, CWS graduate students may take courses in other departments, including sociology, anthropology, and gender and women's studies.
To that end, each semester the Center's assistant directors put together a list of recommended CWS courses. While not an official list of all courses that will count toward or are required for fulfilling the writing studies graduate concentration, these lists are resources for (CWS) graduate students to consider potential classes that might be useful across disciplines.
