Biography
Briana Hendrickson is a PhD student in the department of Curriculum & Instruction and the Center for Writing Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Briana received her B.A. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in English and Secondary Education. After graduating, Briana spent four years teaching high school English full time and is currently a part-time English teacher at Monticello High School. She obtained her Master's in English at Eastern Illinois University where she concentrated in Composition & Rhetoric. At Eastern, Briana worked in the Writing Center, taught first-year composition, and co-taught a Young Adult Literature course. Briana is currently in her second year of the College of Education's Curriculum & Instruction Ph.D. program where most of her work is focused on writing instruction at the secondary level and teacher preparation for secondary preservice English teachers.
